Well-known personalities of Anglo-American culture with statements such as “I love you”, “American Dreams” or “Lovesong” are combined to form artistic image units that certainly encourage reflection.

In the photographs printed on acrylic glass, floral and positive motifs are arranged in such a way that they evoke unusual visual realities. These bright compositions are modern still lifes.

Depending on the mood or message, the lightboxes have interchangeable motifs, such as “In love, couple on red”, “Oh boy”, “Peace” and “Yoga”. The motifs, which sometimes seem childishly naive, already have a high luminosity even without light, which is of course increased again by the LED lighting.

In the collages, you have to look closer to decipher the conglomerate of different materials. Cardboard, foil, photography and paint merge into a wonderfully aesthetic unity.

Here, the design of writing and painting are not conceived as opposites; rather, they belong together. In this way, the collages form a link to the Transparencies.

She arranges artificial blossoms, butterflies and smileys in a certain way, for example, into a bouquet, a star or a circle, partly laid on a black background or as in our invitation picture – scattered as if by chance – and in combination with painting.I would call these incredibly luminous compositions modern still lifes. Ephemeral, in terms of the structure of the motif, and at the same time preserved only by being captured on film.

Speaking of luminous: luminous is of course also the light box, the so-called Lightbox.
